Conditions
of Competition
Tournament Committee: Bert Fish (Chairman), Monty
Montgomery & Mike Marsolek
The Rules of Golf as issued by the USGA govern play, along with Local
Rules as applicable in the Club’s “Hard Card”.
See below for additional Conditions of Competition.
Violations are addressed by the Tournament Committee in cooperation
with the Rules Committee.
Format:
This is a one-day, 18-hole Net Team
tournament using 100% Home Course Handicap. Each team will consist of 4 players,
“A”, “B”, “C”, and “D”. The Tournament Committee uses the
Tournament Pairings Program (TPP) of the GHIN software to determine teams and
pairings. Home Course Handicap is as of the date of tournament set up.
All teams play from the White
Tees. Each team member plays his own ball.
Scoring:
The “A” player is the team captain and is
responsible for recording all team scores and signing the scorecard. If a
team is missing a player, the Tournament Committee will substitute scores for
the missing player by using another player in the competition that has the next
closest Handicap Index as of the date of tournament set up. If your team is
missing a player, do not complete the team score; the Committee will do it for
the team.
Ø
Holes 5, 6, 7, 12, 16, & 18-------
record the lowest individual net score as the team score.
Ø
Holes 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, & 14-------
record the two lowest individual net scores as the team score.
Ø
Holes 4, 8, 9, 13, 15, & 17-------
record the three lowest individual net
scores as the team score.
The team will record 36 net
scores, which will make par for this tournament 138.
In the case of a tie for first place, Co-Champions shall be declared and
the place money is evenly split. For all other ties co-winners are declared and
the place money is evenly split.
All scores are posted by the
Committee for USGA Handicap purposes, with applicable Equitable Stroke Control
(ESC) applied.
Other Information:
Prior to the first tee, at the Registration Table, a
voluntary $5.00 will be collected from each individual wishing to enter a
Net Team Skins Game. If there is “No Skins Out”, the
competition will revert to the Best Skins Format. Any member of a team that
does not enter is excluded in any payout. A player that is used as a
substitute for a missing player cannot win skins or place money with that team.
